When grinding IP, one must strike a delicate balance: the lower your total skill value is, the easier it will be to earn IP for said skill without seeking harder challenges; however, if your stat-bonus from drugs and from clothing ever goes into the negatives, you will get a penalty to IP gain. Thus, the optimal approach is to exactly cancel out any intrinsic buffs one may have; to do this, there are a variety of ways to “debuff”, or temporarily lower, your stats. (Lowering one's skill directly does not apply this penalty, but this seldom if ever actually comes up.)
- Crying, bugshit and radiation are a good debuff for most main stats.

Hunger | ? | ? | High hunger causes damage; Zombies are exempt from this. Quickly increases when you use the Flight mutation. |
